Have a great day!
We have seen it plenty of times, the customer that brings their laptop into us with a broken Laptop LCD Screen. We have seen cracked screens from laptops that have been dropped on the ground, struck with a blunt object onto the screen and at times we see the occasional “I spilled liquid on my laptop and now my LCD screen is distorted or wont work at all.”
Before you go running into your local computer repair shop lets take a look at the average laptop LCD screen repair.
The average cost to fix a laptop with a broken screen is approximately $500. I have seen some retail stores charge anywhere from $350-$750. Now I know what you are saying “Hey why should I pay $500 to fix my laptop screen when I bought the laptop for $700?”
Well we are here to let you in on a little secret. Most computer repair places will charge you a lot of labor to fix a broken LCD Screen. Make sure that you shop around before you go swiping your credit card for $500 to a computer repair shop when you could have gotten your computer fixed for half the cost.
Choosing a place to take your computer to is no different that deciding who your going to take your car to have it fixed. You want a quality repair facility that is going to do a good job fixing your computer, but you also don’t want to pay an arm and a leg while doing it.
Make sure that you ask plenty of questions to the technician that is going to be fixing your laptop. One of the main concerns from customers is “How long until I can get my laptop back?” Some repair places have to ship your computer out to have it fixed. This can extend out the time that your computer will be gone.
Sometimes the biggest repair companies aren’t always the best repair companies. Remember to take the time to shop around before making a decision on who you are going to let fix your computer.
